[In a voice so monotoned and dull, you might mistake it for one of those "Hello. This place is about to self-destruct. Please escape." recordings. Because she just got woke up from this. :|] Welcome. This is a haunted apartment building.

Red tape. You use it on the doors and windows, and apparently can just walk down the hall holding it out in front of you to ward them off. But that last part's just an educated guess.

I was just asking in case there were something like, I don't know, flesh eating zombies or random wendigos stomping around that people needed to watch out for or whatever. Oh man, what kind of mess did I get myself into this time..?

Wendigos, big nasty things whose legends are native to North America. Apparently they're the cursed spirits of men who became cannibals. They're unbelievably fast, can mimic human voices, and are generally bad business.
