[Mika doesn't sleep well most nights. In fact, she can barely sleep at all in unfamiliar places, prone to nightmares and night terror fits. When the sudden shift from her spot on the couch to the bed in the suite, Mika's eyes snap open instantly as she bolts upright and nearly leaps clear off the bed. Yanking the lamp off the bedside table before she was even fully coherent, screaming at nothing as memories of twisted rotting hallways fill her mind.
The last few times she awoke in strange beds left deep scars on her, and it takes her a moment to realize that the hotel room she's in isn't one that haunts her nightmares, and that the room is actually nearly pristine. With her heart thundering in her ears and pounding against her ribcage, Mika looks like a caged animal as she glances around for an exit, only for her wide-eyed stare to lock onto her 'husband.']
Quinn? What the hell is this?!

Mika is wearing lingerie and holding a lamp. He's in a tux. And this is one swanky hotel room. Weird.]
H-Hey! I don't know. This must be... maybe this is what the drone guys were all whisperin' about. Somethin' about the hotel.

[There's a lot of teeth exposed with her sudden outbursts, white and flashing as she bristles defensively. The lingerie looks so very strange on Mika, revealing how bony she really is now and much of her exposed skin is covered with scars. She hardly notices the clothes she's in, and she still holds the lamp in a white-knuckled grip, the tension obvious in the way her arm is trembling.
Like she is literally holding herself back from smashing it on something.]

[He's going to cautiously get up, looking around the room, and taking a look out the window.]

What are we doing here?

By the looks of things, Mayfield seems to think this's date night.

Well this is the shittiest way to do it, I think. Why the heck are we in a random hotel room? Out of nowhere? That's kidnapping, not romance!
[She goes quiet as she makes for the door, but isn't surprised when it turns out to be locked.]
Figures. Then again, they've already kidnapped us once, shuffling us around town shouldn't be much worse.
[She leans against the door with her arms crossed, her ears flattened against her scalp and a dark glower setting in.]
They could have at least left me with some real clothes.

Since when's anythin' this town done with any sense anyway. I mean, you 'n' me are a loving married couple after all, right? We should be grateful for a night away. [He smirks.]
no subject
You wouldn't want to be stuck with me forever, trust me. I don't know what they were thinking when they did that. I guess I should be lucky they didn't decide to make me a pet instead.

[She pushes off from the door, going straight for the heaviest piece of furniture she can grab.]

[She picks up a chair easily enough, though her leg goes wobbly when she tries to lift it high enough to throw it at the door. Pausing, her ears flick back and she grumbles low in her throat.]
Will we even be able to break out of here?

[He stands up straight, cracking his knuckles. BIG TOUGH MAN.] So what're we throwin' at, the door or the window?
no subject
If one doesn't work, we try the other. You go for the windows, I'll try the door?
no subject
[He picks up an end table. That ought to do.]
Head's up!
[Swing and a hit! But the table just cracks off the window. Quinn looks disappointed.]
...Shoulda expected that.

[Despite her bad leg she manages to hoist the chair over her head with a snarl to disguise her pain. Throwing it at the door as hard as she could, she stares as it does...absolutely nothing.]
WHAT? WHAT THE SHIT IS THIS?

[She pounds the door with her fist before pacing like a caged animal, growling beneath her breath as her ears flatten and her tail stiffens.]

[She makes a painfully unhappy sound, rubbing her face just in case.]

[He looks around the room. They didn't leave much in the way of entertainment besides booze.]
no subject
What could we possibly do? I'm going to go out of my mind if we aren't let out soon.

[And of course, the place is totally quiet.]
No one's dying', no one's goin' crazy, nothin' terrible's happening. If this is what they wanna do this time, so be it. Could be a lot worse, right?

[She looks hesitant, glancing around before her gaze drops to her knees.]
Yeah, I guess so.
