✖ thirty-third trauma//infestation - Video ✖

[Dear Jigoku, guess what you get today.

A shrill, piercing, loud enough to wake the dead in twenty different levels of Hell scream as Mika practically leaps out of her skin.
]

GET THEM OFF ME!

[The screaming will continue until the flea situation improves. Mika does not want the flea bath or the alternative.

Shaving.

Please do her a favor and put her out of her misery.
]

((ooc: come on, you knew you all were overdue for a Mika freakout.))

Please do not scream.

[The video feed snaps on to Mika in a tank top with several welts where the fleabites were. The redness has not eased up much.]

I admit my reaction was excessive, but you know what I was saying about my reactions to spiders? This is what happens.

[Shino scowls, softly.]

If you will allow, I will attempt to take care of the problem. And I believe I will have a way to sooth the bites as well.

Feel free, I'd rather do just about anything to end up in a flea collar or having a date with an electric razor.

Given time to study them, it is possible that I may find a way to repel them, for the time.

For the time being, please find some strong liquid soap. [Suggesting this is... well, he doesn't feel right about it, but fleas can be a danger to people with poor immune systems, and... well... He'll just have to figure everything out quickly.] Apply it around your neck and submerge yourself in hot water.

It will not eliminate the problem, but it will help, I believe. Keep in mind not to rinse off the soap until you are ready to shower.

I'll remember that, someone just suggested I use a baking soda treatment. I'll try the liquid soap next. Thanks, Shino. I hate to bother you like this, and I'm sorry about freaking out earlier.

It is not a bother. Please do not worry yourself, Mika-san. [He likes her enough to be polite, of course.] It will take time, but I also believe that I will be able to replicate a topical cream for the bites, and also suggest that you try to eat as healthy as possible.

May I ask something of you, Mika-san? I'm sorry if it is potentially offending.

[But... she is a wolf... thing... So...]

[identity profile] notlikethemovie.livejournal.com 2010-05-10 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds like a plan to me. [She rubs behind an ear, arching an eyebrow at her phone.]

Sure, go ahead.

[identity profile] justahost.livejournal.com 2010-05-10 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
The topical treatment can be potentially harmful, if one has particularly sensitive skin, and may irritate the bites on occasion.

Do you have particularly sensitive skin, or allergies to any plants?

[identity profile] notlikethemovie.livejournal.com 2010-05-10 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I do have some plant allergies, but mostly to weeds and grasses. My skin isn't too sensitive, but it does dry out if I'm not careful. Probably because I wash my hands too much.

I will keep this in mind. Your patience will be appreciated, as I am not the one who has the utmost skill in the healing arts.

[identity profile] notlikethemovie.livejournal.com 2010-05-11 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
That's alright, it's the effort that's appreciated.

[She huffs softly, her tail wagging.]
