[A. Streets]

[Walking home from the hospital, Mika moves slowly, finding things to rest against in her halting trip. Her head is bandaged and her limbs tremble from the strain. The weakness in her bad leg seems to have gotten much worse. Strange spidery blotches mark her legs, and her feet seem to be bandaged as well from what can be seen around her shoes.]

[B. 339 Brady Lane]

[When Mika pushes open the door, her voice is hushed as she calls out to her housemates.]

Quinn? Raz? Are you guys home?

[She will all but collapse onto the couch, curling up defensively.]

[Quinn walks downstairs after just barely hearing Mika, only to find her in a ball on the couch.]

Mika, did y-- Whoa, hey now. What happened?

[She can't make out what he said, but she has a feeling she knows what he's saying. He looks like he's freaking out, at any rate.]

Just got out of the hospital. Black Mage hit me with a lightning spell, blasted my eardrums out. I can't hear anything over the whooshing noise.

Also caught some spasm fits for my trouble. I feel like shit, Quinn.

[Quinn does look a bit freaked, processing all this. He goes to say something, then stops. He darts into the kitchen and comes back out with a pad of paper and pen, and proceeds to write.]

Is there anything I can do? Who is Black Mage?

[She peers at the pad while he writes, sniffing dejectedly.]

Dunno, unless you know someone that can fix my head. Black Mage is a nasty little man who's been running around with a bag over his head lately.

Also did I mention he works at the hospital with me?

I don't even know if kicking his ass would even help, but I'd really appreciate it if you called around and see if we could find someone. I was going to before I realized it wouldn't help much if I can't hear anyone.
